About this project
A homeowner in Bayswater called us after their double sectional garage door got stuck halfway and was hit by a car, which clipped and dented the bottom panel. The door also hadn’t been serviced in a long time.
Our technician carried out a full door service, checking and adjusting the springs, cables, rollers, hinges and tracks, and panel-beat the damaged bottom panel to straighten it out so the door runs and sits properly again.
As the homeowner is considering a new door in the new year, our technician also measured the opening while on site, around 5.76 m wide by 2.23 m high, along with the jambs and pelmet.
We then provided a quote for a new double sectional garage door with new Colorbond jambs and pelmet, including removal and disposal of the old door, at $4,909.09 + GST ($5,400 incl. GST).
Repairing the panel now keeps the door working safely in the meantime, while the measurements and quote give the homeowner everything they need to plan a replacement when they’re ready.
