About this project
A homeowner in Baldivis called us about a problem with the bottom of their double sectional garage door, where the lifting cables connect to the door.
The bottom brackets hold the bottom rollers and anchor the lifting cables, so they take the full weight of the door every time it opens and closes. Once they’re worn or damaged, the cables can’t hold the door evenly and it becomes unsafe to run.
Our technician removed the old brackets and fitted a new set of Centurion Gen 3 bottom brackets on both sides, along with two new rollers so the door ran smoothly in the tracks.
A new pair of lifting cables was fitted at the same time at no charge, wound evenly onto both drums and tensioned so the door sat level, before the door was tested through several full open and close cycles.
The bottom brackets and cables work together to carry the door’s weight, so replacing them together leaves the door balanced, secure and safe to use again.
