About this project
A homeowner in Yokine got in touch because their sectional garage door had started stalling about halfway up when opening, and the springs had become noisy.
The door is a custom timber-clad sectional, finished to match the feature cladding on the front of the house, and runs on a Merlin opener. Cladding like this adds weight, so the springs and opener need to be well balanced for the door to run smoothly.
Our technician carried out a full door service. The springs were checked and lubricated, the rollers, hinges and tracks were cleaned and adjusted, and the balance of the door was checked so the Merlin opener was not straining to lift it.
The opener’s force and travel settings were then tested through several full open and close cycles. By the end of the visit the door was opening all the way without stalling and running quietly.
Regular servicing keeps heavier custom doors like this one running smoothly, and the homeowner has asked to go on a fixed annual service schedule so the door stays in top shape.
There is a reason for the 5 star reviews. Dean and the team are awesome. Couldn’t be happier with the service. Thank you.
